Me doing an impression of a mouse for a project, as i didn't find any that suited on here. It's me squeaking, pitched and speed up a little. I am a human, not a mouse (although i did use a mouse to make the sound (a computer mouse - no mice were harmed in the making of this sound effect)).

Recordings of a violin (performed by poppy crum) playing long sustained notes in various expressions; pitch, dynamics and express (normal, harmonic, sul tasto, sul pont) are in file name. Recordings made with a pair of neumann mics.

Recorded some sounds, filtered out the noize, reversed it and put paulstretcher on it. Had to amplify the bass, because there was an incredibly awkward high-pitch sound in the background. Okay, i actually did make a rather horrorific sound, despite my slight dislike for the horror genre. I know. I contradict myself. Anyhow, this is actually the sound of me going up an escalator while i was at a conference. I came home later and didn't know what to do with the sound, so, out of boredom, i made this. By the way, that weird shriek at 1'46" was actually a young child who was running around somewhere in the building. This sound could be used for *contradiction!!* an atmosphere for a horror game or something like that. But don't try to make me play it, because i won't! okay, well maybe. Mangled with ableton live.

Sound is me being gross! setup: mic, into eq, into stereo pedal (used as a signal splitter-- one signal went to one multi effect on a pitch-down setting, the other into a second multi effect on a pitch-up setting. ), into stereo delay (no delay added, though. ) burp. . .

The sound is a guitar drone. Effects used: light distortion > eq > pitch shifter/harmonizer on multi-effect > delay on a second multi-effect > more delay > vibrato > reverb. ) direct to soundcard, edited w/ compression and fading on the beginning/end to hide "loop clicks". Sound is a bit distorted in parts due to peaking from the reverb (i guess). . . Meant to imitate shoegaze-style guitar drones. . . If i had a proper amp it might sound better!.

Be carefull with the volume!!! i maxed out the eq and volume to get the most effect possible. . . Dont know, but it could be bad for your ears!! dont want anyone to get hearing problems. . . . :). He wanted us to listen to the samples an tell if they were worse or not to the original samples. . So i just listened to a few samples and noticed something weird. . . On a few samples there is this very high pitch sound. . . Seems not everyone is able to hear this. . My girlfriend was listening with me and she didnt hear anything like this!!!to find out what was going on alienxxx suggested to run the samples thrue an eq to see what was going on. After that i maxed out my eq at 14,8khz. Setting everything to maximize the peak that is so very very very annoying!!!. .

Recorded with my epi sg through the walrus slo pedal on dream setting into the focusrite 2i2 interface and into reaper. The bass was recorded with a squier mini-bass through a behringer bxl1800 amp and into reaper. Did a pitch change on the guitar and no quantizing as i like the 'push/pull' feel of the human tempo. " well i don't have 12 s/h. I have 10. . . I would need a lot of sequenced gates to build that shift register. . . In this patch i use 4 s/h. (s/h or s&h is sample and hold. ).
